'...Y'all start jackin' out there...'
About time I did a new mix, so here's a wee one. Its short and was done in a fit so its not the most sophisticated of mixes at some points, (in fact, there's lazy fader-slammage toward the end) but it had to be done.
I've been listening to the house records I bought in the late 80s a lot recently, and only partly out of nostalgia. Just before MDMA arrived to Ireland (at 25 quid a pill), turning us all into nice people for a few years before the greed set in... this was the music we danced to down at the local bop, unwinding from teenage mayhem with the help of booze, soapbar and LSD. We'd always head down with a handful of vinyls and the DJ was always obliging. Listening back, each of these tunes reminds me of particular friends in my past, some of whom are no longer around. I know they'd love it.
